What bike should I use?
The selection of the right bike ultimately comes down to the bike that makes you most comfortable. But, recommendations can be made to assist in the selection process. Here is our attempt to put you on the correct bike for different trail types and conditions.
Western NC Category 2 Rides - Easy
Davidson River Bridge near the Art Loeb Trailhead (south). The trail is narrow in places. Before getting to the Davidson River bridge, the greenway crosses several seeps and streamlets that are bridged by wooden bridges. Some of the approaches and departures from these wooden bridges are steep and may be moderately difficult. Some of the decking boards may be in disrepair. The trail surfaces are generally firm and stable but may contain wet areas (puddles, slick spots) if the weather has been wet. Taped on Nov. 7, 2023.
